Reality TV dating gameshow "The Bachelor" has never failed to amaze its viewers, providing endless dramatic situations.
Following this trend, but giving its own twist, two people participating in 2016 Australia's "The Bachelor" fell in love with each other. The twist? They are both contestants and both women.
According to The Sun, Megan Marx,27, and Tiffany Scanlon,30, among other contestants participated in this year's The Bachelor to compete against each other to win the prize, 31-year old model Richie Strahan.
However, during the filming of the show, they grew close to each other. Marx and Scanlon posted pictures of their relationship on Instagram, declaring their love for one another.
After both of them departed the show, at different times, pictures of them spending time together were being posted on Instagram.
This continued even after the shooting of The Bachelor 2016 has ended. In these pictures, they refer to each other as "favourite human", "beautiful woman" or tagging the post with a heart sign.
Mashable reports that on the occasion of Scalon's 30th birthday, Marx posted a heartwarming message along with an adorable picture declaring her love.
In her message she stated that it was a "strange situation" because they both were "kind of dating the same guy".
Furthermore, she stated that they both felt an instant attraction towards each other during their first cocktail party in the show.
Marx and Scalon visited The Abrolhos islands to celebrate the birthday. Praising Scalon personality, Marx stated that "she (Scalon) is so open-minded, so accepting of others, so fun and so at ease with letting winds blow her towards a variety of opportunities."
Marx also admitted that she was harboring some harmful ideas about relationship, career and stability.
Scalon has helped her immensely by breaking down such ideas and inspiring Marx along the way. Marx ended the message with a sweet "I love you."
