NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 will not see the return of Zoe McLellan and the upcoming Episode 6 will have it announced officially. The upcoming episode will also have Wade concerned as her adopted son will express the desire to be a part of the Navy.
NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 has been on a roller coaster ride after McLellan, who played the fan-favorite character, Agent Meredith Broody, left the show. Some fans had their hopes pinned that McLellan would return to the show as she was not killed in the plot. But, much to the dismay of fans, McLellan will not be returning to the show and it will be made official in the upcoming Episode 6 of NCIS: New Orleans Season 3, reports Morning Ledger. The episode may also reveal her replacement as Lasalle and Sonja are on a hunt for Brody's replacement.
Notably, the previous season saw that Brody was double-crossed by Agent John Russo, whom she dated and she felt that her reputation is at stake and she decided to leave New Orleans.
Post McLellan's departure, the show suffered badly in terms of ratings and also, Agent Tammy Gregorio (played by Vanessa Ferlito) who was hinted to replace Brody was struggling to fill in the shoes of McLellan.
The same news outlet also reports that after five episodes, the rating has picked up and is standing at 1.3. So, it seems that the show will pick up with the upcoming episodes.
It is worth mentioning here that McLellan left the show due to reasons that are not known. CBS stated that her exit was a part of the creative process, but fans feel that the real reason is different. Some feel that her exit from the show was due to the refused pay rise that she had asked for, while others feel that she left the show to bond with her son, Sebastian, post-divorce from her husband, J.P. Gillian.
In other news, spoilers of NCIS: New Orleans Season 3 Episode 6 suggests that the episode titled, "One Good Man" will have Steven Webber reprising the role of Mayor Douglas Hamilton, reports Spoiler TV. And, the episode will have the NCIS team reviewing the Navy Seal training exercises after a candidate was found murdered. Moreover, Wade's adopted son will express a desire to join the Navy, which will have Wade worried. She will also seek Pride's advice on the matter.
