Drake and Taylor Swift: Dating rumors 'fake', but storms are real

Fans are furious over rumours that Taylor Swift, 26, is flirting with Drake, 30. Even Rihanna fans are irked beyond measure.

It began to get whispered when the two got close at the One Dance singer's 30th birthday party at Delilah restaurant in West Hollywood, California, on 23 October. "Drake was cozy with Taylor [Swift] all night long. They were all up on each other - no kissing - but touching each other and cheeking," a source said.

There began some social media reactions.

One meme quickly became viral, showing Drake's ex-flame, Rihanna, smiling but with a rather vicious sign: "I think the f**k not'.

Many others tried to warn Drake off. One person wrote: "STOP DRAKE ITS NOT WORTH IT."

The twitterati was humming too. "What the hell is wrong with you DRAAAAAKE !!!! I mean Taylor ? Really?" one user tweeted.

"Please let this Drake and Taylor Swift thing be a joke...the whole relationship would be weird," another said.

One tweet even said: "If Drake and Taylor Swift are dating im gonna log out and deactivate my life."

Wrote Aaliya: "Drake and Taylor Swift dating means in about 3-4 months we'll have trash music^2"

Meanwhile, Rihanna's friend, Katy Perry, is consoling Rihanna. One source said: "Katy was laughing at Taylor and told Rih that [she] looked like a robot that was short of many fuses when she was dancing at the party. They both got a huge chuckle out of that. Katy assured Rih that Tay Tay was not the life of the party."

Drake had already featured Taylor on Instagram following a concert. She had made an appearance with her girl squad at his 30th birthday party. Drake introduced Rihanna to his mother, and then gave her a "VIP treatment" at Delilah in West Hollywood.

That action itself was interpreted as an early stage of dating, says TMZ.

However, does their relationship go beyond being merely "good friends"? Why did Drake give her such special treatment, anyway?

Even as the rumors dismiss them as sharing no relationship, everyone asks: "Taylor and Drake have been talking about collaborating on a song together for quite some time now," said a source. "The project was put on the back burner because of their hectic schedules, but now seems like the ideal time for the two to start working together."

Ideal time? Why is it "ideal"? Is there some chemistry that determines the concoction?
