Living in the age of spoiler paranoia, speculations and rumors regarding the approaching Season 5 of House of Cards have started to swirl. Unfortunately, the exact release date for the political thriller series has not been announced, but the tad bit assumptions have already glued many of the fanatics.
According to Breathecast, the American suspense driven series will be welcoming two strong characters for the upcoming Season 5, Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott.
These two veterans are distinguished in the Hollywood industry and are also a part of the mainstream success. Other than the leaked names, no further details have been mentioned or highlighted as of yet. Even Netflix is still tight lipped about these two names and fans would have to wait a bit longer for the confirmation news.
The casting news came out as a first from the new showrunners frank Pugliese and Melissa James, who joined the series as senior writers back in Season 3. They replaced the show's creator beau Willimon, who departed the show in January.
The viewers of the approaching House of Cards Season 5 will witness unanticipated alliances and death scenes giving chills to the spine!
Michael Kelly, who plays Doug Stamper, and the right hand man of Frank Underwood was inquired by Deadline if Underwood is actually going to be killed.
He maintained, "You lose characters that you love. We almost lost Frank, and I always have faith in the writers that no matter what road we go down, we're going to come back to what the show is."
Viewers might see Frank Underwood's case of betrayal by Stamper in the next House of Cards Season 5.
"Those two men trust each other to the ends of the Earth. They're the only two people that each of them could count on," he told CNN. "You've never seen Doug turn on Frank. We've never seen Frank turn on Doug. And they trust each other to the ends of the Earth so that's where Doug belongs. That's where he is. That's where he thrives in life."
House of Cards Season 5 will premiere in 2017.
