Veteran comedian Bill Cosby arrived at the Pennsylvania court for the crucial pre-trial hearing in connection with his criminal sexual assault case filed by 13 women.
Teams of lawyers will present the arguments to a Montgomery County judge and will battle over crucial evidence issues, which could create a difference whether the trial is fair or not.
The Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, prosecutors will also be present in the trial and will show arguments on the issue involving the case.
The entertainer's legal team will try to drop the sexual assault charges filed against him. According to ABC News reports, the pre-trial hearing started in the morning. Mr. Cosby arrives a Pennsylvania courthouse earlier for the hearing, wearing a blue suit while holding the arm of someone from his legal team.
According to Pennsylvania Courthouse, more than 50 women have accused the comedian of drugging and sexual harassment. Montgomery County Judge, Steven T. O'Neill will be in charge in determining whether the jury will hear the statements of the 13 accusers. Furthermore, he will also decide whether Cosby's deposition in a civil suit will which was brought by Constand in 2005 will be allowed in court.
The prosecution had investigated the women who were allegedly victimized by Bill Cosby and asked the court to present evidence from these women as "prior bad acts." Cosby's defense attorney and his legal team are trying their best to keep the accusers out of court.
According to his defense attorney, Cosby can no longer defend himself since he can any longer recognize the faces of his accusers.
"Compounding the problem are the vague allegations of many of the accusers about the time and place of the alleged incidents," his attorneys, Angela Agrusa and Brian McMonagle, said in their motion, filed last month to attempt once again to dismiss the charges.
