Alaskan sea monster found in Chena river; Is it distant cousin of Nessie the Lochness monster?

Alaska now has the "lochness" effect when government officials captured a video of a mysterious "thing" moving its way through the Chena river.

The Bureau of Land Management has put out a video online on facebook of a thing moving back and forth the river in Fairbanks, Alaksa, reported Global News. The object keeps moving back and forth along the rivers current for a few minutes. The footage has gone viral, the report says.

According to Express.Co.UK, Craig McCaa, the agency worker who spotted the strange thing, said he had been surprised at what he saw. He reportedly said the response by the world shows "how strongly the mysteries of the natural world capture our imagination."

The report further noted some reactions on social media. "Weeds and debris on the top of the water that have snow and ice on top, snagged by a submerged strainer. The current is making it move like a 'fish gator ice monsta!" Jason Faris wrote.

"Y'all know that could just be a salmon that survived longer then normal right? They get those white spots on them as they die because they are literally falling apart," Colin Lehman chimed in.

Most users were reportedly quite confident that the floating object is alive, with some saying that this 12-15 foot monster is a distant cousin of the Lochness monster in Scotland. The Lochness monster or known as Nessie in the scottish highlands, is said to be an aquatic creature, with a long neck and two humps surfacing from the water. The nessie phenomenon started in 1933, and still has not ended.

However, the reports stated that an expert biologist who works for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game said the Alaska Monster was just a piece of rope.
