Whereas the previous installments of "Final Fantasy" series primarily worked on a stellar single-player RPG experience, the upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" will revolutionize the whole gaming experience with the introduction of multiplayer mode.
As per VG 24/7, Square Enix just confirmed details on the DLC and other plans for the game. This includes four DLCs that will be initially released, the fourth, Final Fantasy XV Comrade DLC, was developed to complete the multiplayer experience.
Furthermore, three of these DLCs will feature new single-player adventures that focus on one of the main members from protagonist Noctis' party. It is further noted that "Final Fantasy XV" is the first game within the franchise that would enable the players to assume direct control over other characters aside from the lead. Through the DLCs, players will have a chance to choose who among Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto they will play.
DLC producer Haruyoshi Sawatari further said that the stories are closely-related and entwined with the main story of Final Fantasy XV. From this information, it can be expected that the game will take the form of a four-player co-operative mode.
"When we've released all three of those character expansion DLCs and we've got all the comrades from the main game as playable characters, we'll bring Noctis back in as the fourth member of the party and then add an online multiplayer expansion to bring them all together," Sawatari revealed.
Considering this huge character expansion, the cost of Final Fantasy XV, particularly the Comrade DLC, however, would be a little bit more. As per Tech Times, the multiplayer mode would be available but with a little extra price. The Comrade DLC will be purchased separately for a still unknown price.
"Final Fantasy XV" will be out in the market starting Nov. 29 and will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
