Even as the divorce news of the celebrity couple gets murkier and gloomier, there is one more twist to the tale. The couple's two children, Pax and Shiloh, have asked to live with their father.
"Recently, Pax and Shiloh told Angelina that they'd prefer to live with their father," explained OK! magazine. "Pax and Shiloh have always had a strong bond and both of them have long felt more compatible, emotionally, with Brad. If Pax and Shiloh really want to be with Brad, she's in an unwinnable situation. How can y ou claim you're doing what's best for the kids when you're ignoring their stated wishes?"
It is a distressing situation for the house, with the children beginning to shift their loyalties. It is also a tense and stressful period for everyone concerned - mother, father and children.
The news would obviously hit Angelina like a bolt from the blue. It would be a relief for Brad Pitt, who is undergoing hell, but not too much consolation for both parents to see their children taking sides.
It would also not stop the Angelina bashers to gleefully hit her where it hurts - her commitment to motherhood.
Apart from the long list of nasty epithets that have been attached to her name - "scheming, malicious, spiteful and maleficent," the opponents of the actress can now add "bad mother" to it.
The eldest son, Maddox, is keen to stay with Angelina. He is the eye of the storm, as the alleged "abuse" against him was the initial spark that set off the entire divorce conflagration.
It is not known who the other three children, Zahara, Knox and Vivienne, are asking for.
Currently, the six children - Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Shiloh, 10, Zahara, 11, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8, are all with their mother in a rented Malibu home under a "temporary custody arrangement."
The Brangelina couple is working out an official agreement, even as Angelina is trying to win complete custody and visitation rights for Brad. However, if there is any evidence of verbal or emotional abuse, Pitt might not even get visitation rights.
