Apple releases iOS 10.1.1, fixes bugs on Health apps

Apple have recently released a small update to their iOs 10, with version 10.1.1 which is the current mobile and tablet operating system that was released recently.

If you haven't yet got an update notification, it'll come soon. An added advantage for Apple is the fact that the roll out for all their devices is almost at the same time irrespective of their models unlike Android devices receiving updates in batches.

Apparently, some users earlier had reported about health applications going off the track with misleading information about their work-outs and other health activities which was a bit concerning to the majority of the users out there who've trusted Apple to take care of their health tracking. The problem has been fixed in the new update i.e version 10.1.1.

The issue was apparently nothing but a bug that prevented users data from showing up in their apps. The update is also live for their tablets and not just smartphones. Alongside this fix, there's also a new feature that's part of the update which is now the ability to shoot pictures on iPhones 7 and 7 plus in portrait mode.

Certain users were really happy to see it finally happen. Since the update has been made available to the users to download them instantly, you can immediately proceed to do the same. However, there's some precautions to take care of which is to backup all your phone data before installing the update post-download. This is just a step of safety that all manufacturers advise irrespective of your device since a data loss is almost irreversible.

Regarding the update size, it's just a few megabytes and not really big in size indicating that apart from a new addition in features and bug fixes, there's nothing else that's been a primary part of this update.

Although, it's to be noted that the update intimation might not be visible for all devices yet due to the fact that it's still a recent roll-out and would take some time for your device to check for updates. This is due to Apple updating its global server infrastructure.

Overall, it's now assumable that all the issues with health apps would now be fixed and they'd be back to working as normal. One of Apple's primary concerns in the industry is health and fitness which the Cupertino giant takes care of, pretty much seriously on priority purposes.
