NBA Trade Rumors train are still gaining some steam and it looks like there's no stopping it even the NBA regular season already started. And now, it is claiming another victim none other than Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook is the hot topic during the offseason about being quiet with regards to Kevin Durant's departure last summer. One lucky Facebook user got a chance to caught up with Westbrook and posted a video asking about his feeling with Durant's decision to join the Golden State Warriors. But Westbrook replied with a laugh and immediately walk away from the camera.
Many pundits are now saying that his reaction and silence could mean that his not happy with Durant's decision and might be thinking his future with the Thunder. Speculations are now spreading that Westbrook is now considering to leave the Thunder and join another team next year.
According to TGD, rumors are now saying that Westbrook might opt out to his contract with the Thunder and wish to be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The decision of Westbrook to join the Cavs was motivated by his rivalry to Durant. Many fans are expecting that the Warriors and Cavs will meet again in the Finals this season and it seems that Westbrook wants to be part of that.
The report also says that if ever Westbrook will be shift to the Cavs their match against Durant and the Warriors will be much anticipated. Taking the rivalry of the Warriors and Cavs (even the competition between Durant and Westbrook) into a high level. So what will the Cavs can offer to the Thunder for Westbrook?
Gospel Herald reported that although it is not clear who the Cavs will trade in return, they have many tradeable assets to offer to the Thunder. The Cavs can give up an array of shooting guards like Iman Shumpert, Jordan McRae, Kay Felder or Markey Brown as barter for Westbrook. They Cavs may also add a future draft pick to sweeten up the pot for the Thunder.
