Kesha Rehab Update: ‘Die Young’ Singer Battling Bulimia and Anorexia, Mom Also Blames Advisor for Issues

Kesha entered rehab on Jan. 3 for an eating disorder. Her mom, Pebe Sebert, says the 26-year-old singer is battling both bulimia and anorexia and blames members of her entourage for Kesha's issues with her weight.

Sebert lashed out at Kesha's music producer Dr. Luke on Twitter telling the singer's fans that he played a part in her weight issues. According to Radar Online, Sebert also blames her daughter's advisor claiming that he told her she needed to do whatever it took to lose weight.

"It wasn't just Luke. She had an advisor who told her he had a meeting with a record company and they said she better lose 15 pounds in the next 30 days," she told Radar. "He told her he didn't care if she shoved her hand down her throat or took illegal drugs, but she had to lose the weight."

Sebert said that eating disorders isn't uncommon in the entertainment industry even though people rarely talk about it. Sebert told the site that Kesha started dieting and exercising and had lost some weight but Dr. Luke told her she wasn't thin enough.

He reportedly advised the "Die Young" singer to get a personal trainer.

"I couldn't afford a trainer as a single mom," Sebert said. "She came home a month or two later so skinny."

She told the site that Kesha said she was juicing and dieting to lose the weight but Sebert knew her daughter was also throwing up and urged her to stop.

"I knew at some point she'd done it. I told her it was dangerous... her teeth, her voice. She'd swear she wasn't doing it anymore, but had a breakdown right before Christmas and told me she'd been doing it pretty much on a daily basis since two months after she signed with Luke," Sebert said.

It was previously reported that the music producer had called Kesha a "f**king refrigerator" while they were filming her music video for "Die Young."
