Ex-couple Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber seem to have set a new standard for mutual relationships between exes. After 11 years of relationship, the couple announced separation in September. But that has not stopped them from supporting each other.
Naomi was at Booth Theater in New York City last week to watch Schreiber's new Broadway play, Les Liaisons Dangereuses. The actress even posed for photographs before the show began.
Speaking to ET Online, Naomi said that it is necessary to show as much support as possible after Schreiber is the father of her two kids. Watts and Schreiber have two children together, Alexander Pete (9) and Samuel Kai (7).
The Oscar-nominated actress added that she will extend her support to Schreiber as he is truly an 'extraordinary talent.'
According to ParrySound, Naomi and Schreiber started dating in 2005 and eventually reports surfaced that the couple had tied the knot. Soon, they denied marriage rumors and couple was never been married to each other.
"Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple. It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy," Naomi and Schreiber said in a joint statement announcing their separation.
Naomi is currently awaiting the release of her film "Shut In" on Nov. 11. In the film, the 48-year old actor will be playing the role of grieving mother Mary, where a freaking car accident will leave her husband dead and son paralyzed.
