John Wall becomes Wizards' all-time assists leader
John Wall became the Washington Wizard's all-time assists leaders, at 3,827, on their game against Houston Rockets.
Wall came into the game only three assists behind West Unseld's 3,822. He tied the record in the first quarter alone.
And then at 10:15 mark of the third quarter, John Wall rushed for a fast break and gave the ball to the trailing Bradley Beal for a dunk. With that assists, Wall became the Washington Wizards' all-time assists leader, per NBA.com.
After that pass, he dished out four more in the game to finish his total assist at 3,827.
John Wall was the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards. In his six years in the NBA, he averages 18.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists and 1.7 steals in 422 NBA regular season games. He was selected to three All-Star games and a member of the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2015, per Wikipedia.
If John Wall will play for the Washington Wizards for the rest of his NBA career, he might at least double Unseld's assists total.
Stephen Curry made 13 three-pointers to set an NBA record
After one of his worst shooting nights of his career against the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday, the two-time MVP bounced back great as he had perhaps his greatest shooting performance as of now. Well, that's what you expect from a great player like Stephen Curry.
On his previous game against the Lakers, he didn't have any three-point field goal for the entire game. This ended his 157 consecutive games of having at least one three-point field goal. Although his consecutive games of having a three-point field goal was snapped, he still holds the record for consecutive games with at least a three-point field goal.
Against the New Orleans Pelicans, Curry made 13 three-pointers, which is an NBA record for the most threes made in a single game, per NBA.com. He shot a superhuman performance 13-17 from the three-point line.
With 3:47 left in the game, the Warriors only had a 5-point lead at 100-95 against the Pelicans. And then Curry stepped up with three consecutive three-pointers to set the record.
The previous record of the most number of three-point field goals made was at 12, with Curry, Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall holding that record.
Now, Stephen Curry holds the record alone at 13. But the way Stephen Curry is right now, there's no doubt that he will also break this record pretty soon. Because as we all know, when it comes to three-points, the only person who can beat Stephen Curry is himself.
