NFL News: San Francisco 49ers Colin Kaepernick has not participated in US Presidential Elections

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick told reporters Tuesday that he did not vote in the recently concluded US Presidential Elections.

During the campaign, Kaepernick has extensively criticized both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump as equally unfit for the office of President.

According to Yahoo, Colin Kaepernick has been vocal about police brutality, treatment of African Americans, and for Americans who want to protest their own national anthem.

The fact that he reportedly declined to vote and make use of the chance have not been taken well as some people disdain his refusal to exercise his right to change America.

As per the report, Kaepernick sent a discouraging message as he has portrayed himself as a civil rights role model.

Kaepernick reportedly said that it was embarrassing to watch the two candidates. He called them proven liars and that they are trying to debate who's less racist. He said people have to pick the lesser of two evils and but in the end, the whole thing was evil.

According to the USA today, Kaepernick said he has had disconnected with the systemic oppression as a whole, adding that the new president would be just another face of that system of oppression.

Trump reportedly targeted Kaepernick for his refusal to stand up for the national anthem and choosing to kneel instead.

Kaepernick had done it to protest against the liberties taken by the police on African-Americans and racial injustice. As per reports, Trump had suggested for Kaepernick to find a country that works better for him. Kaepernick called the statement "ignorant".

Yahoo reported that Kaepernick's reason for not voting is the same reason used by voters that would be enough to swing the result if they participated in the elections.
