"Fifty Shades Darker" starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson completed filming long back. The movie, scheduled to be released on Feb. 20, 2017, has received its rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).
"Fifty Shades Darker" is the second installment from E.L. James' novel series of three. The first movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey" was released back in Feb. 2015, and received huge response from fans.
The erotic drama has received an "R" or "Restricted rating from the MPAA, according to Movie Fone. The rating described that it contains "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and language."
A "R" rating from MPAA suggests that the movie is not suitable for children under the age of 17, unless they are accompanied by a parent or an adult guardian. Despite this rating, the movie has successfully managed to dodge an "NC-17" rating by the MPAA.
An "NC-17" rating by the MPAA strictly prohibits the entry of children aged 17 and under to the theatre showing a movie rated with this parameter. That means, "Fifty Shades Darker" can be viewed by children aged 17 and under only if they they are accompanied by an adult, who should be either a parent or a guardian.
Johnson and Dornan return to play their famous roles in the upcoming sequel, Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, respectively. The movie will make Valentine's Day weekend debut and is expected to drive a huge crowd to the theatre on the opening day.
"Fifty Shades Darker" trailers released so far indicate that the upcoming erotic drama will be as sensual, romantic and steamy as its predecessor, "Fifty Shades of Grey." From masquerade to fireworks and sensual shower scene, the trailer for the movie says it all.
According to E! Online, author E.L. James, Dana Brunetti and Michael De Luca have returned as producers.
