Ex-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were previously reported to have reached a settlement with regards to the custody battle they have for their six children, but recent reports say otherwise.
The former Hollywood A-list couple have been in the headlines since their divorce has been announced and the custody war for their children - 15-year old Maddox, 12-year old Pax, 11-year old Zahara, 10-year old Shiloh, and 8-year old twins Vivienne and Knox, had been going on since then.
Reports have previously claimed that the custody war from the messy divorce might be ending soon as the couple had already reached an agreement, but a report suggests that this might not be true at all.
The report claimed that Pitt had filed legal documents on Friday to counter his former wife's request to demand the primary physical custody of the kids. On the latest filing, it was found out that the World War Z actor is pushing for a joint physical and legal custody of the kids to him and his ex-wife.
As reported by People, this move from the 52-year old actor was decided after the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services or DCFS, had confirmed that Pitt's investigation for the accusation of verbal and physical abuse to their son Maddox, 15, had turned out to be negative. It can be recalled that the agency has been investigating the actor since the claims of an alleged abuse incident had surfaced.
This was why Pitt decided to pursue with the joint custody, aside from the reason that the actor needs more access to his kids. The event where it was decided that their six children should live with Jolie as for now, in accordance with the recommendation from the DCFS, had reportedly made the actor unhappy as he also wanted to spend more time with their kids.
The agreed decision was reportedly not a settlement, it was apparently just an agreement. Additionally, multiple sources have also revealed that Jolie is pushing for a sole custody. A report from IBT UK claimed that the Maleficent actress is not planning to give up on getting the full custody of their children.
Moreover, Angelina Jolie reportedly said that she is willing to fight with her former husband Brad Pitt in court if his anger management issues will not be not dealt with.
