Attention iPhone fans! Apple will introduce a new form of wireless charging technology with iPhone 8. The new invention will let users charge the device up to 15 ft. Hence there is no need for them to place their iPhones on the wireless charging plate.
Next year will be Apple's 10th year anniversary for the iPhone line and customers, and tech-savvy fans are expecting for the company to bring some biggest updates on their products. One of the greatest introductions that the firm could offer is probably the wireless charging.
Foxconn, iPhone's manufacturer, is currently working on wireless charging modules that would let the device be charged from a distance using a transmitter which is plugged into the socket with a received embedded in iPhone.
Wireless Charging in iPhone 8
Apple has been doing experiments on its charging connectors since its first iPhone in 2007 that features a 30-pin dock connector to the lighting connector. With the upcoming iPhone 8, Apple is expected to introduce a new and unique way of charging their iPhones wirelessly.
According to the BGR report, the company is working with Energous for the new wireless charging technology. Energous originally developed the technology, and it shows several signs that wireless charging could also work with Apple.
Testing the wireless charging Modules
What Apple is working with its partner Foxconn is testing the wireless modules for the upcoming iPhone 8. With all the reports and rumors about the wireless charging modules, industry analysts, as well as the customers, have high hopes with the upcoming iPhone 8.
The wireless charging iPhone 8 will be completely redesigned with a glass back instead of the current design that features aluminum rear. Reports revealed that the rear glass panels would come from China's Biel Crystal Manufactory and Lens Technology.
Other expectations with iPhone 8 include a new display size which will come in three screen sizes of 4.7-inch, 5-inch and 5.5-inch.
