NFL Hall Of Fame 2014 Finalists: Tony Dungy, Marvin Harrison Join Michael Strahan & Jerome Bettis In Final 15 (LIST)

The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced its 15 modern-era finalists for the class of 2014. Former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy and receiver Marvin Harrison were among four first-year nominees to make the cut, ESPN reports.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks and former Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Walter Jones join Dungy and Harrison as the only first-year nominees to reach the final 15.

Other notable names making the list include former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jerome Bettis and former Denver Broncos safety John Lynch.

Former Denver Broncos running back Terrelle Davis, former Dallas Cowboys coach Jimmy Johnson and former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue were among the 10 semifinalists who failed to make the final 15.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee, consisting of 46 members, will vote on Feb. 1. A player needs at least 37 votes (a minimum of 80 percent) to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
