South Korean actor Hong Jong Hyun has begun a conversation about his Moon Lovers: Scarlet Hearth Ryeo co-star, IU, otherwise known as Lee Ji-eun. The South Korean actor essays the role of Wang Yo, the third prince in the line of the throne, and plays the character of Wang Yo.
iTech post reports that Hyun went on about the 23 year old singer, saying that he has listened to IU's music a lot, and that he knew she wrote and composed her own songs. He added that he said he had a very good impression of her. Hyun continued that since she is very small and feminine, he thought she would get tired soon but that was'nt the case.
According to Asiastarz, the actor said that IU has more strength than an average man, and she has consistent form from beginning to end. Hong has also praised IU's professionalism while working on Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo because she was a singer at first before she became an actress.
The report added that age was never a factor on Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and there were many times he viewed all his co-stars as a group of friends getting together.
Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo aired its final episode on Nov 1 and the series won the 2016 Korean Brand awards.
Moon Lovers is based on the Chinese novel Bu Bu Jing Xin, by Chinese author, Tony Hua. The story reportedly revolves around a 25 year old 21st century woman, Go Ha-jin who travels back in time to the Goryeo dynasty and finds herself in the body of Hae Soo.
The story goes on to her encounters with the royals of the ruling Wang family. She falls in love with two princes. The series reportedly became a hit overseas.
