Donald Trump, Paul Ryan contradict on illegal immigrants’ campaign

US President-elect Donald Trump announced that immediately upon taking office, he will either deport or send to jail two to three million undocumented immigrants with criminal backgrounds.

As per Independent, in his interview with 60 minutes, he made this very clear that he is still willing to track down unauthorized immigrants in the country, focusing on people with criminal records and throw them out.

"What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably two million - it could be even three million - we are getting them out of the country or we are going to incarcerate," said Trump.

He further said that it's important to secure US borders. He is planning to put fences around some parts of the border, and in other parts, a wall is what needed. Trump claimed that this is called construction, something he is very good at.

After the border security project is done, an assessment will take place to determine the criminal undocumented immigrants in the country, which he estimates as being two to three million people, and work on getting them out of US.

Trump has also added that he will pursue with his promises about gun rights and abortion as well.

Surprisingly, Trump's announcement came just hours after Republican and Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan stated that there will be no deportation.

Ryan told CNN that deportation is not what Donald Trump is focusing on. He is just focused on securing the borders.

He further said that the main thing right now is to be absolutely sure that US borders are secured, before they deal with any other immigration issue. It is important to know who is coming and going into the country.
