Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge's future at Anfield seems all but over as reports suggested his departure from the club as early as in January transfer window.
The 27-year-old is apparently unhappy at the club after being put down in the pecking order under manager Jurgen Klopp.
West Ham and Stoke City are rumored clubs that are interested in the player but as Mirror suggested, there are few other clubs who are staking their claims for the England international.
It is claimed that the Reds want £28million for this transfer which has possibly angered few Liverpool faithfuls, Liverpool sold Christian Benteke for £32million at the start of this season, a fact that is urging fans and pundits to stake their claim that more money from possible Sturridge transfer is possible as they believe Englishman is more useful when goal-scoring prowess comes to mind.
Sturridge previously stated that he's ready to fight for his place at Anfield but after being down to third choice striker in the squad, game time just gets minimal all the time for him.
TalkSport did the twitter poll and according to many football fans, Sturridge is still the No. 1 striker for England and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool fans urge their manager or the club to keep hold of the striker in every situation.
No doubt Liverpool are doing well without him but having country's No. 1 striker as the club's second or third choice striker is something great and these headaches are positive for a manager, apparently if Liverpool reach Europe next season they'd need a backup striker all the time under rotation policy from Jurgen Klopp.
But the German has been stubborn enough to go with Origi if his first choice Firmino is not in the playing 11, so he clearly doesn't fancy Sturridge to deliver the goods.
It's an interesting dilemma for the club to deal with, player's choice comes first but if the manager is nowhere near getting him the chances he needs, the departure won't take much time to happen then.
