The first variant of Google Glass as Google's first attempt at augmented-reality vision assistance hardware was a massive disappointment among the enthusiasts.
However, their rival, Apple, wants to try their hand at the same. Apple seems to be working on a wearable that will be very much similar to the Google Glass and also be based on augmented reality, according to Bloomberg.
The video in the source explains the initial intentions of the Cupertino giant as to what they think will be the next big thing that will see an increase in amount of sales for Apple. Hence, Apple will now be stepping into the world of augmented reality glasses.
Apple will be trying their best to bring it out to the markets as soon as possible. However, there are reports that the product won't be available until late 2018 and they're also reportedly developing it within closed-doors.
Hence, Apple won't be making anything public on that and information will only be out once there's a working prototype available to the public. From a financial market perspective, analysts believe that the Apple's version of glasses will also unlikely see a positive approach.
Apple, as always, will likely want it to work with all their other devices which'll be one of their primary usage purposes.
Even though it's still in development, nobody from Apple are even considering discussing about this, proves the point that this is a confidential project by Apple that they don't want the world to know. But there are reports about Apple negotiating with suppliers according to people who are familiar with the rumour.
Bloomberg also reports that Apple have ordered some glass displays in limited qualities for testing purposes. If Apple continue with their disastrous pricing for all their hardware, then there's no slight doubt about it failing with pricing itself despite its claim it would be the the next level in technology and advancements.
