Cyanogen has begun releasing its Android 7.1 Nougat-based firmware, CyanogenMod 14, for OnePlus 3.
Nightly builds of CyanogenMod 14 for the OnePlus 3 was announced last week. The device stays one of the best values in the smartphone landscape.
Many of the users prefer custom ROMs like CyanogenMod as they strip away the user interfaces added by device manufacturers. Also it can add other exclusive features, which we will not find on stock Android or OEM firmware.
With CyanogenMod 14 update, the OnePlus 3 will receive custom features like the status bar clock customizations, brightness control from the status bar, a new notification counter and double-tap to sleep and a speedy pull down for settings.
CyanogenMod is a community-driven Android Custom ROM that brings a nifty customization tricks for the status bar that allow you to pinch its icons and also to modify the clock style.
As nice as these tweaks are, it is worth to notice that there are pretty much of bugs present - such as the fact that the battery indicator in the status bar doesn't changes its looks when the phone is on charging. CM14 for the OnePlus 3 is still in the nightly stage so it should be stable enough to run, reports iTech Post.
Users should note and be caution when installing custom firmware onto their devices that their warranties may be voided. To take a back up of your device is recommended and the device must be rooted in order to install such custom firmware, reports IBTimes.
