The popular CBS comedy series 'The Big Bang Theory' might not see a renewal for Season 11 as Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Johnny Galecki are not coming back. Rumors of their differences with the network over salary raise have been floating around and it seems the parties have not reached any conclusion.
Season 10 of 'The Big Bang Theory' might prove to be the swansong for the comedy series as the contract of the cast has not been renewed as yet, reports Health Aim. According to the news outlet, actors Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki are not likely to feature in the series anymore as their salary negotiations have failed.
Notably, the actors have been demanding a raise in their salaries and they were in talks with the producers as well. However, nothing has been announced as yet and therefore, it seems Season 11 would just remain a dream. Strengthening the cancellation rumors is the report that a prequel of the series based on a teenage Sheldon would be premiering next year and would replace the show.
This is really a big jolt to the fans of the show as they want more from this comedy series and since the TRPs have only gotten higher, there does not seem to be any reason for CBS to wind it up. However, all hopes are not lost as Kunal Nayyar, who plays Rajesh, has said that he hopes to continue for more seasons as he and the cast members have grown fond of each other, claims Movie News Guide.
This is really relieving and applies to fans as well. 'The Big Bang Theory' has amassed a huge fan following in these nine years. All the ten seasons of the show have been successful and it is one of the highest-rated shows on television.
Nevertheless, until the network makes an announcement fans must approach every news with caution. As for the prequel, it is also under wraps and no announcement has been made. So, the best thing fans can do is enjoy the current season which is on air since September.
