NBA Trade Rumors: It's game over if Golden State Warriors trade Klay Thompson to Boston Celtics

NBA 2016-17 trade deadline will be on February 23, Thursday next year. And that's long enough for some people to make up rumors about the NBA trade. However, speculations about Klay Thompson being on the trading block and joining the Celtics is quite a possibility to happen.

Celtics analysts for CSNNE, Brian Scalabrine, recently released a statement about the rumors that he heard about the Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson. According to him, Celtics team is in on Thompson. The Warriors needs a rim protection because they are not doing well in their defense.

The Celtics analyst knows the supposed deal which will be laid on the table soon, and that is Celtics will soon get Klay Thompson and in exchange, the Warriors get Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley and the Brooklyn Nets' first-round pick.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors could receive a significant boost to their title hopes if they decided to trade Thompson to the Boston CelticsThompson heading to Beantown was a product of speculation, yet suddenly came to life after the former NBA player and CSN New England analyst hinted that the Warriors could trade Thompson to the Celtics.

Steve Kerr, Warriors head coach immediately shut the rumors and speculations, despite the fact that trading Thompson for Avery Bradley and Jae Crowder could be a viable option for the Warriors which, according to NBA GM, could do wonders for the Golden State.

Thinking about the Golden State's current roster, the team needs more help at the center position. Interior defense and rebounding have been a problem for the Dubs after losing Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli. Crowder and Bradley will be a good fit to the Warriors on the defensive end.

But Thompson played an essential role in the Warrior's success during the past seasons and trading him is not a legitimate option.

"We're not trading Klay. I told Klay. I called him, and I said, 'Klay doesn't listen to anything.' He doesn't even know who we play most of the time; he's not a guy that's reading everything. He hadn't even seen it. Then I talked to his agent. The media is very, very powerful. And we're in a very public business, " Myers told 95.7.
