Last year, Oprah Winfrey signed troubled star Lindsay Lohan onto her OWN network for a reality show, but according to the New York Daily News, the "Mean Girls" actress has been a "nightmare" to work with.
Lohan, who has been offered a reported $2 million for the eight-episode self-titled series, "Lindsay," on her life after rehab and attempts to re-launch her acting and singing career in New York City, has apparently been difficult to work with for producers and even Winfrey herself, even refusing to take part in the scheduled filming.
"This is just what everyone warned me would happen (working with her). And it is," Winfrey says in a new clip from the upcoming show screened recently for television critics.
In another scene, the media mogul tells Lohan, "My truth is, I really do want you to win ... but if that isn't what you want, I'm okay with that. I will tell these guys to pack up and leave today," to which Lohan responds: "I know this is my last shot at doing what I have to do."
Other scenes show the 27-year-old star struggling with her sobriety and the paparazzi following her to her AA meetings, her sober coach giving a vague response to the camera on whether or not she's stayed away from alcohol since leaving her court-ordered treatment in Malibu.
Lohan was offered the reality show in exchange for Winfrey hosting her first television interview post-rehab, in which she opened up about her years in the spotlight grappling with legal run-ins, highly publicized scandals and family issues.
"Lindsay" premieres March 9 on OWN.
