Three unidentified male burglars broke into Englewood High School in Colorado on early Sunday morning, damaging rooms and lighting small fires, the Denver Post reported.
Around 1:41 a.m., the Englewood Fire Department was notified through the water pressure alarm that went off after water began running at the school, according to police investigator Kevin Sage.
Additionally, police received an alarm from the school as well. Once first responders arrived at the scene, the computer room had been broken into and appeared that fires were attempted in the band room.
Police said surveillance footage shows the burglars as three males in their 20s, though more people could have been involved.
"Detectives are going to spend today reviewing the video to try to identify the three," Sage said.
7News reported that classes were cancelled at the school for Monday. The crime is still under investigation.
Englewood High School is located in the same county as Arapahoe High School, where student Claire Davis was shot and killed during a school shooting in December of last year, and Aurora, where a mass shooting in a local movie theater left 12 dead and 70 injured.
It is also closely located to Columbine High School, where one of the nation's deadlist school shootings occurred in 1999, leaving 15 dead and 21 injured.
