NFL Coaching Rumors: Browns, Lions, Vikings & Titans UPDATES For Coach Search

Below are the latest updates in the coaching searches for the Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings and Tennessee Titans.

The Cleveland Plains Dealer paints Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase as the leading candidate for the Browns' head coaching job. Cleveland is interested in interviewing the 35-year-old rookie offensive coordinator, but Gase has declined all interviews with prospective teams until after the Broncos' playoff run.

The Plains Dealer also dismissed a report claiming former coach Rob Chudzinski bad-mouthed the Browns organization to potential coaching candidates.

Finally, a Plains Dealer report indicated former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel appears unlikely to end up with the Browns.

Detroit is still enamored by the idea of hiring Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt, whose work with quarterbacks such as Kurt Warner and Philip Rivers has made him the frontrunner for the job.

For Whisenhunt's part, a CBS Sports report indicates he "remains very interested in (the Lions') opening and the offensive pieces already in place."

Minnesota is expected to interview Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer for the second time sometime this week, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. The Vikings have also interviewed San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman and defensive line coach Jim Tomsula, according to Pro Football Sports.

Minnesota also spoke with Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, according to CBS Sports.

The Titans are "very interested" in Whisenhunt, the Tennessean reports. The team announced on Friday they had interviewed Whisenhunt.

Former Titans coach Mike Munchak could be a dark horse candidate for the Lions' job after a strong interview last week with Detroit, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The team is also interested in interviewing Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, according to both NFL.com and Pro Football Talk.

Tennessee must wait until after Seattle's playoff run to interview Quinn.
