Jennifer Love Hewitt: 'Client List' Star Next 'X Factor' Judge?

Jennifer Love Hewitt is a strong candidate for the open judge’s position on the hit FOX musical performance competition show “X Factor”, according to MSN Entertainment.

The 34-year old actress has some musical experience of her own including her single, “Bare Naked,” which hit the charts in 2002.

If Hewitt were to get the gig, she would join renown television contest judge Simon Cowell and actress and pop star Demi Lovato. Diva Britney Spears and L.A. Reid left the show last season.

“Simon is very interested [in Jennifer],” a source told Us Weekly magazine.

Since the absence of Reid and Spears left two vacancies on the show’s panel, many are being considered for the open spots. Cowell, 53, is believed to be speaking celebrities such as Kelly Rowland, who served as a judge for one series of the United Kingdom version of the “X Factor.”

''Simon has always remained a fan of Kelly's and she's most definitely in the mix to join the judging panel on 'X Factor' USA,” a source said previously.

According to a representative of the show, rumors surrounding the possible judges are nothing more than “pure speculation.” However, no rumors have been denied as of yet.

Hewitt’s music career, which included four albums, ended in 2004. However, in an effort to promote her show “The Client List”, she recorded a cover of “I’m a Woman”.

“The Client List”, which airs on Lifetime on Sunday’s at 10 pm EST, is a show about a mother whose husband leaves her and her children. In an effort to pay the bills she takes a job at a massage parlor.

She eventually finds out the parlor offers extracurricular favors to its client and the drama ensues from there. The show is in the midst of its second season.

Mario Lopez will return as a presenter for “X-Factor” but Khloe Kardashian will not return for the next season.

''Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host 'The X Factor'. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in the future,” said a producer in a statement.
