Two people were shot and one killed, after a man opened fire inside a Wesley Chapel, Fla. movie theatre.
Pasco County police were called to the Cobb CineBistro at Grove 16 complex on Wesley Grove Blvd. on Monday, according to Fox 13, after receiving word that someone produced a weapon at the showing of "Lone Survivor."
The suspected gunman was arrested after he walked into the theater and began shooting, according to the Washington Times.
According to spokesperson from the sheriff's office Melanie Snow, the two victims were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals. The male victim died from his injuries, while the other person who was shot, an unidentified female, sustained non-life threatening wounds.
Sheriff Chris Nocco told Fox 13 that an "altercation" caused the shooting to occur. Although it hasn't yet been confirmed, Nocco said that the couple got into an argument with some people who were sitting in front of them, reportedly due to the fact that someone was texting loudly on their phone.
The sheriff also told Fox that someone inside the theater at the time held the suspected shooter until law enforcement officials arrived on the scene. The person, whose identity has not yet been publicized, was a male, and he is now in custody.
"It's absolutely crazy it would rise to this level," Nocco said of the fatal event.
