WWE fans have waited for the 'John Cena vs The Undertaker' fight for a long time but it seems like their hopes would not be fulfilled. Cena is reportedly upset and might delay his scheduled December comeback, thereby, putting an end to the entire buzz about the legendary fight.
Cena is reportedly unhappy with the fact that he was kept in the dark about the return of Bill Goldberg. Though he is not against the return of the wrestler but the fact that he and Brock Lesnar are being paid more by WWE than the full-timers is what has hurt him, reports iTech Post. He was also quite shocked when Goldberg's comeback was announced.
He feels that the huge money the WWE is spending on non-regular wrestlers could be put to better use on wrestlers who are regular in the ring. The development has hurt him and thus, the much-awaited fight may not materialize at all. Notably, Cena and Undertaker were supposed to face off at Wrestlemania 32 but the former was replaced with Shane McMohan after he smashed a rotator cuff.
Speaking of the Undertaker, he returned to the WWE during the remarkable episode last week when SmackDown completed its 900 episodes, reports Inquisitr. He announced that WrestleMania would not define his career any longer and it has led to a surge of speculations about his future with many assuming that he would play a part-time role in the next six months and would ultimately move on to his retirement match at WrestleMania 33.
It is rumored that WWE officials are lining up three opponents for The Deadman for his final run but after some deliberations, it has come down to two. They have talked to The Undertaker about booking him for a match at the Royal Rumble and they are thinking of pitting AJ Styles against him.
The WWE has booked AlamoDome in San Antonio for the thirtieth Royal Rumble and the management is working hard to book the show at the largest possible scale. Since Texas is the venue, legends like Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Stone Cold are being courted.
