Meizu Pro 6 Plus: 5.7-inch flagship coming with Exynos 8890 SoC, SAMOLED 3D Touch display

Meizu is gearing up to launch Meizu Pro 6 Plus. Company is planning to launch the powerful smartphone early next month and that would be running the new interface - Flyme 6 OS. The Meizu Pro 6 Plus is the successor to the Pro 6 flagship phone. The company has launched the OS with Meizu X the first smartphone to run it, in an event in China and the Pro 6 Plus with high end chipset from Samsung.

Meizu has added a new flagship phablet to its smartphone lineup. According to India Today, the specs of smartphone had appeared on Geekbench, hinting a promising launch ahead.

The PRO 6 Plus incorporates the same aluminium unibody construction and elegant styling as the previous PRO 6. Phone has slightly raised, circular camera surround with Meizu's circular and a dual-tone LED flash ring below the back of the PRO 6 Plus.

The plastic antenna strips are coloured to better match the sandblasted aluminium chassis and stick close to the upper and lower edges to further minimize their appearance. The 2.5D edge-to-edge glass covering the front eliminates sharp edges, enhancing the smooth feel of the phone, reports AnandTech.

Every edge and hole in the Meizu PRO 6 Plus like the camera surround, ring flash, speaker holes has a polished chamfer, and the single piece volume rocker and power button near the top of the right edge are inset into a polished groove.

Meizu Pro 6 Plus has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution that is giving 430 nits of brightness, and is pressure sensitive.

The Pro 6 Plus runs the Flyme 6 OS, which is reportedly an AI backed interface. It has new colour schemes and over 200. Company also claims 103% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut, which is good news for people who prefer highly saturated, vivid colours.

PRO 6 Plus is running on the Android Nougat 7.0, so the security features and multi-tasking is pepped up. Over 15 Meizu smartphones will reportedly receive the Flym 6 OS update.

Inside the PRO 6 Plus is an Exynos 8890 SoC. Meizu has used Samsung's Exynos chips in previous phones, most recently the Exynos 7420 in the PRO 5. The PRO 6 Plus has a 3400mAh battery.

The Meizu PRO 6 Plus is available in three different colour variants: gold, gray, and silver. The gold and silver colours come with a white front, while the darker gray colour comes with a black front. The price of the 64GB variant is CNY 2,999, while the 128GB version is priced at CNY 3,299.
