‘Star Wars Episode 8’ spoilers: Rey meaning ‘king’ indicates royal roots; Luke Skywalker’s Jedi student massacre included?

Several "Star Wars Episode 8" spoilers have surfaced despite the fact that there is still almost an year left before the movie hits the theatre. Now a news rumor report suggests that Rey may have royal roots and the vision that she has been having visions of Luke Skywalker's Jedi student massacre.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" introduced the character of Rey (Daisy Ridley) for the first time, who lived on deserted planet Jakku. She played a significant role in the movie and will return in "Star Wars Episode 8," however, the film did not talk about her origin or from where did she come from.

According to Game n Guide, several rumors have surfaced so far claiming that Rey is the most important role in "Star Wars Episode 8." Some say that Rey is Luke Skywalker's daughter and that he may have dropped her off on Jakku, a deserted planet, to protect her. On the other hand, other theories state that Rey has royal roots, which is evident from her name that means "king" in Spanish.

One of the most mysterious aspects associated with Rey in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was her vision. The entire movie showed how she had visions of wars, Luke Skywalker and the Knights of Ren, even though she has never faced them herself.

According to Movie Pilot, "Star Wars Episode 8" may focus on back story of one of the vision that Rey has about the Knights of Ren. It shows Kylo Ren as well, who kills a soldier. The publication speculates on whether the battle shown in the vision is related to Luke Skywalker Jedi Academy, in which Kylo Ren kills the Jedis under training by the Jedi master.

However, it is not clearly whether it is related to Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy at all. Nonetheless, the fans can expect to see Kylo Ren's Knights of Ren back story to be explained fully in "Star Wars Episode 8."
