Justin Bieber's friend, rapper Lil Za, was arrested at the singer's Calabasas home on Tuesday, Jan. 14 during an early morning raid. According to reports, Za was handcuffed and taken away for cocaine possession.
According to TMZ, a rep for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept. said the arrest was for "felony drug possession" and the cocaine was in plain view of the officers when they entered the house. Bieber is not connected to the cocaine. The raid on Bieber's house stemmed from an egging attack on his neighbor's house.
Last week, the "Boyfriend" singer was accused of pelting his neighbor's house with eggs. The damage to the house is said to be around $20,000, which makes it a felony case. The L.A. County Sheriff said during a press release that about seven people were in Bieber's home at the time of the raid but the 19-year-old singer and his team were cooperating.
The police, who had a federal search warrant, said they were not looking for eggs but wanted to search the home for any evidence that would link Bieber to the egging. According to TMZ, because of a video the neighbor took of the attack, police believe that Bieber's home security system could have captured the entire attack.
Reportedly deputies dismantled the "Baby" singer's security video surveillance system and took it with them during the raid.
On Thursday, Jan. 9 police were called to the gated community after Bieber's neighbor eggs being thrown at his house. He told TMZ that he heard something hitting the side of his house around 7:30 p.m. and when he looked down from his second floor balcony he allegedly saw the singer tossing eggs at his house.
TMZ also reports that Bieber and the neighbor have a rocky past and have had a few run-ins in the past.
