The messy Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie divorce spat has been fought wildly over the media and public opinion courts, as HNGN has reported. A lot of it has been news even to the Brangelina couple.
Where does it lie now?
The couple's child custody arrangement is all in the hands of one man, report the documents that have been given by Jolie. He is a strange and unknown person who probably isn't even known or dear to the six children. Yet, he is the man who is going to hold their precious fates and fortunes in his hands.
Ian Russ, therapist, PhD.
Where does that leave the poor father, Brad Pitt?
Sadly, in the doghouse, even though he has been cleared of child abuse.
At present, the couple is undergoing "a temporary custody deal" that have been arrived at by both the parties. Angelina has "primary custody and Brad gets monitored visits."
The documents also spell out "when and how Brad sees the children" and it will all be determined by the psychologist, who specializes in child custody issues. The six children, ie Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and 8-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox are all going to have their fates decided by the man.
Moreover, the "frequency and conditions of the therapeutic visitation shall be determined by Ian Russ, Ph.D." The couple is also required to be part of group therapy sessions with the brood.
Until there is a court order, these terms would be in place, and both the parents have to give their consent.
The medicos are also clear that Brad Pitt will have to give himself "up to random drug and alcohol tests at least 4 times per month."
While the entire arrangement was put in place in October, even as Pitt was being investigated by the DCFS, he had been given the all-clear by the agency one month ago.
Yet it really hasn't gotten him much. The temporary deal was memorialised by Jolie's filing and was signed by the judge on Friday.
