The Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards are two struggling two teams in the early going of the NBA regular season. Both teams are having a hard time of getting their rhythm going and will continue to slide down the Eastern Conference division if they do nothing. But rumors are now spreading that both teams are said to be in trade talks with Nerlens Noel and Otto Porter as trade pieces.
Noel, who've been the hot topic in the rumor mills the past few months and up until now, is said to be available and just waiting to be traded. The failure of the Sixers organization and Noel to agree on a contract extension last October 31 are believed to be a sign that he wants out of the team.
And though the 76ers management is quiet about his situation, many believe that it is only a matter of time and he might suit up for an another team this season. And it looks like the Wizards are willing to welcome Noel to their fold.
A proposed trade deal is being suggested between the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Wizards. Trade scenario is saying that the 76ers will send Nerlens Noel and Robert Covington to the Wizards in exchange for Otto Porter. With this swap, many analysts are saying that the deal will benefit both teams in the long run.
The Wizards will be bringing in a young, talented and athletic big man in Noel who could strengthen up their interior defense by protecting the rim. And because he is athletic he can run the break in transition with Wall and Beal. While Covington and Kelly Oubre can take Porter's minute and production in the rotation.
As for the 76ers, many believe that Porter will fit nicely as a wing in Philly. His production will also be a big plus for them as he averages 14.7 points and 8.1 rebounds while shooting 41.4 percent in the three point area. He also does the little things such as fighting for loose balls and defends very well.
The trade will also work under NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine making it a legal deal for both teams and will have the go signal by league officials.
