’50 Shades of Grey’ Movie News: Rita Ora’s in Vancouver to Film Scenes as Mia Grey; British Singer On Set with Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson

Rita Ora is in Vancouver, Canada which means the British singer is getting ready to film scenes for "Fifty Shades of Grey." On Jan. 15 she posted a photo to Instagram with the caption "Hey Vancouver #Latenightsneakin #imhungry." She included another photo telling fans how excited she was to begin working on the project.

Ora was cast to play Mia Grey, Christian Grey's (Jamie Dornan) adopted sister. Dornan and Dakota Johnson (who plays Anastasia Steele) are already in Vancouver filming scenes for the movie. The two arrived in December. It's also been reported that Victor Rasuk (who plays Jose Rodriguez) and Eloise Mumford (who was cast as Kate Kavanagh) arrived in Vancouver weeks ago to shoot their scenes.

So far leaked movie set photos revealed that several crucial scenes from the first book has already been shot including: Christian and Ana's "coffee date," when Ana graduates college, the Ana-almost-gets-run-over-by-a-biker scene and the interview scene (even though some fans thought it was when Christian asked Ana to look over the contract). It was also rumored that author E.L. James gave fans a sneak peek at Christian's playroom aka the Red Room of Pain.

Lately, news surrounding the movie has been fairly quiet. The leaked pictures have almost stopped popping up on the Internet but that hasn't slowed down the rumor mill. Recently there was a rumor started by Agencia EFE (via Global Post) claiming that "Fifty Shades of Grey" was being condensed into one movie, instead of three.

The site reported that a representative for the production company gave them the inside but wouldn't reveal why the film was being downsized. The "source" also said that production was being halted in Vancouver because of the weather and would resume in Miami, Fla.

James didn't address the rumor but Universal Pictures clarified things by pointing fans to an older tweet from the author that said the film was definitely going to be three films, one for each book.
