Manchester City (15-2-4) has been impressive in the Premier League, sitting in second place with 47 points -- one-point behind No. 1 Arsenal. City responded to their 1-1 draw on Jan. 4 against Blackburn with a 2-0 win in the Premier League over Newcastle.
City wasn't surprised by their draw against Blackburn, who City boss Manuel Pellegrini characterized as "very motivated and a strong team."
"They [Blackburn] didn't surprise me, I think that they played a very good match at home and I'm absolutely sure that tomorrow we have to have a very good game if we want to win because they are very motivated and a strong team," Pellegrini said on Tuesday, via IB Times.
"They know exactly the way they want to play, so we must be very attentive tomorrow in defending and in counter attacks, for different set-pieces and try to score a goal against a defence that will be very close."
City will be without playmakers Samir Nasri (knee), Sergio Aguero (calf) and Yaya Toure (back), according to SB Nation.
