It has been officially announced that John Cena will be back on the December 27 edition of SmackDown. The wrestler will be returning for the first time since he was defeated by AJ Styles at No Mercy.
According to Bleacher Report, the loss at No Mercy was very hard on Cena. It was a milestone match for him, as a win would've given him the title of 16-time world champion.
Also he would've been tied with Ric Flair for the all-time record. Instead, AJ Styles hit him with a chair and then pinned him down.
After No Mercy, John Cena took a break from wrestling and took other outside projects such as hosting the American Grit and Saturday Night Live. Now Cena is back and fans are excited to see the ultimate showdown.
