The blonde beauty Kate Upton is back to SI Swimsuit and she will be gracing the cover of the magazine for its 2017 issue. She has been shot by photographer Yu Tsai in Fiji and it will be the fifth time that she has made it to the cover of the magazine.
Kate Upton will be seen on the cover of SI Swimsuit 2017 issue. The 24-year-old model is back to her home turf after six years and SI Swimsuit editor MJ Day is beaming with joy at her comeback, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit reported. He said that readers will be seeing her on three covers this year because they believe a legend of Kate's caliber deserves an equally memorable moment.
Explaining further, he revealed that they did not start off with the idea of three covers for the SI Swimsuit 2017 issue. However, during the shooting, they were trying different looks on Kate Upton and since each photo kept coming back just as great as the next, they decided to do three covers.
Notably, Kate Upton began her career with SI Swimsuit in 2011 and also earned the coveted Rookie of the Year honor. 2012 and 2013 saw her gracing the cover back to back and she was also named as a member of the 22-person SI Swimsuit legends class. It had icons like Tyra banks, Heidi Klum, Christe Brinkley and Elle Macpherson.
Now that Kate Upton is back as the cover girl once again, she is no less excited. The model revealed that she was very excited when MJ asked her to be back in the issue especially because of the 2017 theme. This year's theme is about women of every age and every body type being accepted and therefore, it was inspiring for her to be asked to be a part of that issue.
It is worth mentioning here that Kate Upton is not just gracing the cover of SI Swimsuit 2017 issue, she will also be seen in the movie "The Layover." She has already starred in several movies including the Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann starrer "The Other Woman."
