Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was one of the biggest celebrity divorces in 2016, the loving couple sadly ended their marriage after two years in an awful manner. Recently Angelina spoke out for the first time since she filed for divorce from Brad Pitt last year.
It appears that both the stars had gone through a tough time and Angelia admitted that it has been difficult, but she also made a statement saying "we are and forever will be family." In an interview Angelina appeared to be upset and it has certainly been tough for the whole family including her children reported BBC.
Her prime focus is her children and she is coping to make sure they get stronger and closer in this difficult time. Angelina and Brad Pitt started their relationship back in 2004, after ten years the pair decided to marry but unfortunately it lasted only for two years.
On the other hand Brad also wants to make sure their children are happy and taking their divorce smoothly. However, Angelina got sole custody for their six children by mentioning irreconcilable differences. This was the first time the actress opened up on her feelings about their divorce and she seemed emotional in her interview.
Angelina shared her experience on directing the film "First They Killed My Father," the film is based on a true life story of the Khmer Rouge genocide through the eyes of a child. The actress hopes that the film she directed will help Cambodians to open up more about the trauma of that period.
She visited Cambodia in 2001 for the filming of "Lara Croft Tomb Raider," it was there that her oldest son Maddox was adopted. Cambodia was an awakening for her and she feels that she will always be grateful to the country for what it has given her.
