OnePlus 5 To Feature Snapdragon 835 Processor, 23MP Rear and 16MP Front Camera, USB Type-C Port

OnePlus, the Chinese tech giant might be planning well for its next flagship. A fresh report from Korea claims that OnePlus will launch new flagship by name 'OnePlus 5.' Also, the Korean report indicates few of the specifications and features that are likely to be sport in the upcoming phone.

According to Korea Portal, OnePlus is speculated to name the next flagship as OnePlus 5 will pack in a dual edge display along with a glass body. It is reported that the number 4 is considered to be unlucky in China. So, the next flagship is believed to be receiving the name OnePlus 5 instead of OnePlus 4. Also, company has released OnePlus 3T flagship which also indicates that the OnePlus 5 will be the next flagship.

OnePlus 5 is reported to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor in-order to compete with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 flagship. Earlier, it was believed that OnePlus 5 will get Snapdragon 821 processor, but after the launch of the latest chipset, the next flagship of OnePlus will feature the latest chipset under the hood.

The processor is speculated to be coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB internal storage options. Also, there are speculations that OnePlus 5 might also include 256GB storage variant. The device is expected to feature best rear camera with 23MP sensor and a selfie shooter will be similar to that of present model- OnePlus 3T. The phone is also expected to have a USB Type-C port along with the usual fast charging, a 4,000mAh battery.

OnePlus next flagship OnePlus 5 will have to take most of the smartphones that were seen launched at the Mobile World Congress and also the new arrivals. Huawei P10, LG G6, Samsung Galaxy S8 and other smartphones are the rivals which the device should take.
