Selena Gomez and The Weeknd Make Long Distance Relationship Work But, Her Mother, Mandy Teefey Disapproves Her Relationship

Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's relationship is going pretty steady. And, even though singer and song writer is on a music tour, the couple is perfectly managing their long distance relationship. Moreover, the songstress also found time to spend with her family. But, Mandy Teefey, Selena Gomez' mother is reportedly unhappy with her daughter's relationship with The Weeknd.

Selena Gomez is in a pretty happy zone now. And, even though her boyfriend, The Weeknd is on a music tour, she is said to be perfectly balancing her family time and her long distance relationship with her current boyfriend, The Weeknd. According to reports from Teen Vogue, Selena Gomez skipped attending the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she was nominated for the Female Artist of the Year and Best Fan Army, to spend time with her family in Dallas. And she also skipped the Oscars to be with The Weeknd in Switzerland.

Selena Gomez is extremely close to her family members and when she was there to spend time with the family, it was a happy time for all. Her aunt also posted several photos of the singer with her cousins on her Instagram page.

However, Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey is not at all happy with her daughter's current boyfriend. Though she thinks of The Weeknd to be a respectable person, she is averse to the idea of her daughter dating him. This is because, she feels he might not be a good influence on Selena Gomez, especially due to his "dirty and drug-related lyrics" that most of his songs have, Life and Style Magazine claimed.

Considering the close relationship that Selena Gomez shared with her mother, this is really bad news as she holds her mother's opinion very highly. Moreover, Mandy Teefey and the entire family does not want Selena Gomez to make the same mistake that she made while dating her ex-Justin Bieber, that probably led her to a rehab.
