Jeffrey Cutlip, Oregon Killer, Sentenced To Life In Prison With No Parole For Murder Of At Least Three Women

A convicted Oregon killer responsible for the murder of at least three women was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole on Friday, ABC News reported.

Jeffrey Cutlip, 64, was sentenced three months after he pleaded guilty to the murders of 44-year-old Marlene Claire Carlson, 15-year-old Julie Marie Bennett, and 33-year-old Nielen Doll.

According to Aimee Green, a reporter for The Oregonian, Cutlip rolled his eyes as he was sentenced.

Carlson and Bennett were murdered in the 1970s and Nielen was killed in 1993.

Judge Eric J. Bergstrom sentenced him to three consecutive life sentences and called the damage he inflicted "incomprehensible." In addition, he waived all of his rights to appeal as part of a plea deal.

Though Cutlip did not make a statement before sentencing, several relatives of the victims addressed him in court, detailing the pain he caused them by killing their loved ones.

"You are one sick person," Carlson's daughter said. "You are very evil...I would like to ask what's in your mind...We loved our mother very much...I just hope you rot in hell."

Additionally, a police officer assigned to the case, Officer Meredith Hopper, read aloud a note written by Doll's daughter.

"I don't know how you sleep at night...You've got to live your years while taking years from others. I don't forgive you."

In 2012, Cutlip called police and admitted to killing four women, though authorities were only able to confirm three murders. He was arrested in Texas, where he was living at the time, on July 23.

Detective Jim Lawson believes Cutlip's motive was sexual gratification.

"He finds satisfaction in committing completely brutal crimes that most of us can't comprehend," Lawson told KOIN TV last year.
