‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers, Rumors: Ed Sheeran Cameos on Six-Episode Series for Arya Stark Confirmed, Justin Bieber on Season 9?

“Game of Thrones” had been a hit fantasy drama series on HBO since its first season. On its upcoming Season 7, more surprises are in store as another phenomenal celebrity is said to guest star on the series.

According to Rolling Stone, Ed Sheeran was confirmed to cameo for “Game of Thrones” Season 7 on the SXSW panel last Sunday with showrunners along with Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss then stated that the reason was "For years, we tried to get Ed Sheeran on the show to surprise Maisie, and this year we finally did it." Maisie Williams who plays Arya Stark is then revealed to see her “Shape of You” idol.

Furthermore, Ed Sheeran wasn’t just the celebrity who cameoed on the “Game of Thrones” franchise. Coldplay's Will Champion, Snow Patrol's very own Gary Lightbody and members of Sigur Ros, Of Monsters and Men and Mastodon were also said to grace the show. Yet, members of Mastodon weren’t identifiable as their roles were zombie-like creatures.

Ed Sheeran’s role on the upcoming “Game of Thrones” Season 7 was confirmed by the “Castle on the Hill” singer in a tweet. He tweeted “guess the cat’s out of the bag” as soon as the rumors on his guest appearance had spread all over the web. Yet, his role isn’t yet specified whether how small it would be or will he be recognizable on screen.

Variety then also mentioned that Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark said that she is still waiting for Biebs (known as Justin Bieber) to cameo on “Game of Thrones.” Weiss then replied to Turner jokingly as he said that “You’re waiting on Biebs? Season 9.”

Yet, sadly “Game of Thrones” Season 7 was also confirmed to be shorter now as it would only have six episodes as HBO president Casey Bloys hinted. "It will turn out to be a 73-hour movie, but it's stayed relatively the same of having the beginning, middle and now we're coming to the end” Benioff concluded.
