NBA News: Los Angeles Clippers Showing Great Interest Of Acquiring Free Agent Forward Omri Casspi

The Los Angeles Clippers appears to be in disarray as of late. They have lost six out of their last ten games and now slipping on the fifth spot in the Western Conference standing. With most of their superstar having an injury, reports are spreading that they are considering to add free agent forward Omri Casspi.

The Los Angeles Clippers had a great start at the beginning of the season as they are among the top three teams in Western Conference but star players of the team sustain injury. Last December, Blake Griffin underwent knee surgery and just got back late January. As he came back, Chris Paul injured his thumb and been gone for almost a month.

And with an injury-stricken roster, the Los Angeles Clippers are now looking to solve those problems. According to ESPN, the Clippers are targeting of bringing in Omri Casspi and fill in any deficiency in their lineup. Casspi was previously linked to the Clippers however conflict with his agent prevent his supposed transfer to Los Angeles.

Omri Casspi is part of the blockbuster trade between the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans that brought him and DeMarcus Cousins to the Pelicans before the trade deadline end last month. However, days after he was acquired, the Pelicans waived him after he suffered a thumb injury in his first game with the team. And now that he is cleared to play, the Los Angeles Clippers looks to be ready on getting him for their push in the playoffs.

Aside from the Los Angeles Clippers, Omri Casspi is also being pursued by the Memphis Grizzlies, who was also struck by injuries to Chandler Parsons. Both the Clippers and Grizzlies appears to be playoff bound teams that could very well appealing to Casspi's decision on which team he will play. Casspi is only averaging 6.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in a supporting role with the Kings.
