A Syrian man was reported to have died from an airstrike done allegedly said to be caused by an Israeli drone as reports say. The man was said to be driving his black SUV in the Quneitra region of the Golan Heights on the road to Damascus.

According to Forward, the man who died from the strike was named Yasser al-Sayed. It was identified that al-Sayed was just a common civilian. Yet, some reports claim that he is a Hezbollah terrorist, another was said that the man Syrian air defense commander. The National Defense Force, which is a pro-militia formed in 2012, then identified the man to be among its ranks.

Amid the drastic event, it was reported that The Israel Defense Forces hasn’t yet commented on the alleged air strike. Confirming nor denying the threat wasn’t given by their government. The events currently happening between Syria and Israel were then identified to be the most serious breakout since the Syrian civil war six years ago.

Regarding the Israeli attack meant for Hezbollah near Palmyra, it was then reported by Times of Israel that Syria’s ambassador to the UN Bashar al-Jaafari mentioned that the attacks were “appropriate and in line with Israel’s terrorist operation.” He then stated as well that they will now think “million times [before striking again]” according to a translation. al-Jaafari then stated that Syria’s forceful response in their attacks changed the rules of the game.

Furthermore, the drone strike was said to occur two days after Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman warned Syria. “The next time the Syrians use their air defense systems against our planes we will destroy them without the slightest hesitation,” Liberman then confirmed the Friday’s attacks.

He then mentioned that each time they would discover arms transfers from Syria to Lebanon, they will act to stop them. “On this, there will be no compromise” he concluded.
