In the center of a distance galaxy, researchers from Massachusetts institute of Technology and Nasa-flight center discovered a dramatic burst of electromagnetic energy known as “tidal disruption flare”. This activity appears when a black hole destroys a nearby star.
As reported by American University WAMY, scientists believe that they put a sight on a star buzzing towards a black hole with an incredible speed. Some researchers believe that the object is a black hole and others claiming that there are other explanations. A researcher from the Michigan State University (Arash Bahramian) who is a leading author of a recent paper in “ Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society” analyzes the team’s findings. They are convinced that the star caught by the scientist has the solid fragment of a star like our sun after upon dying, and goes by the name white dwarf. Arash Bahramian indicates that the black hole and the white dwarf are so close that the black hole is pulling matter from the star onto itself.
According to Research and Development Magazine, researchers from NASA’s “Goddard Space Flight Center” and the “Massachusetts Institute of Technology”, have discovered a powerful burst of electromagnetic activity that appears when a black hole destroys a nearby star in a center on a distant galaxy 300 million light years away. That kind of activity was first discovered by scientists in 2014 and is called “tidal disruption flare”. Using two different telescopes, the research team identified the pattern in the energy transmitted by the flare and for 32 days the same pattern repeated itself.
As reported by NPR, Arash Bahramian says that in order to fit into such a rapid orbit the star needs to be small which it lead him to believe that the star is actually the white dwarf. He also suggested that the scientists use different telescopes for the observations from NASA’s (NuSTAR), CSIRO’s (Australia Telescope Compact Array), and NASA’s (Chanda X-Ray Observatory). Bahramian claims that it is still unclear how dangerous the dance between the white dwarf and the black hole will end. It is improbable for the star to actually, fall into the black hole but more possible to lose so much mass and becomes very solid planet like a sphere.
