Vaio Announces 'Phone A' with Android OS, 5.5-inch HD Screen, 3GB RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Processor

Vaio Corporation, the Japanese tech company that was formerly known with a very famous name 'Sony Vaio' has announced a new Smartphone known as 'Phone A.' It is now an independent company, which currently sells computers in the USA, Japan, and Brazil tech markets. Vaio is positioning itself firmly by announcing new smartphones. The company is ready to give Sony a tough competition in the Smartphone tech market.

According to Vaio, the Vaio Phone A Smartphone features a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. Under the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 16 GB built-in storage. The phone is also provided with an option of storage expansion up to 64GB via microSD card.

Vaio Phone A sports a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie shooter and runs on an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The phone is powered by 2,800mAh battery and offers various connectivity options like the Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS. Other reports claim that many specifications and features are similar to the first Smartphone released by Vaio i.e. Phone Biz. It is also reported that the Phone A will be only available in the Japanese tech market and no details are mentioned about the price and release.

Vaio Phone Biz smartphone launched in February 2016 sports a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. The Vaio Phone Biz packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front selfie shooter but runs on Windows 10 Mobile OS. The phone features a 2800mAh non-removable battery and has Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G and 4G connectivity options.
