"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" tickets are out for booking for those who are anticipatedly waiting for MCU's next flick. Marvel Studios has also decided to throw in an extended TV spot with new footage to tease the fans.
According to Comicbook, the new footage of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" features Dave Bautista's character Drax the Destroyer taking flight in a jetpack. Meanwhile, Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) is flying alongside Star-Lord Peter Quill, played by Chris Pratt. Last but not the least, Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) is shown sitting on the shoulder of Gamora, the character played by Zoe Saldana.
"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is all set to introduce Peter Quill's father as actor Kurt Russell. In the last trailer of the MCU flick, Russell appeared and shocked the viewers with his single dialogue. He admitted to Peter Quill that he is indeed his father, which means he is Ego the Living Planet.
For those who don't know the character Ego in the comics is literally a giant talking purple planet. However, he looks like a normal human being in "The Guardian of the Galaxy Vol.2".
In an interview with Mashable, Kurt Russell opened up about his character in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and assured that 'he's no letdown'. He talked about the father-son relationship and also teased at having some past story with Mantis in the movie, with whom his character entered the film.
"He (Ego) has a great, adventurous spirit that he shares with his son," Mashable quoted "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" actor Kurt Russell. "And you know, the idea of being able to find someone that you've wanted to see for a long time."
Russell added that all can understand why Peter Quill has always wanted to meet his dad, having only heard these things about the man from his mother. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" lands in theaters May 5, 2017.
